Introduction:
Well, getting stuck in a traffic jam is something no one enjoys, but it happens to almost everyone. Today, I’d like to talk about a time when I experienced a really bad traffic jam on my way to a wedding.
When and where it happened:
It happened last winter when I was travelling to my cousin’s wedding in Delhi. The venue was around 30 kilometers from my place, and I left in the evening, thinking I had enough time. But as soon as I entered the city limits, I saw a long line of vehicles stuck on the road.
How long you were in the traffic:
I was stuck in the jam for around one and a half hours. The main reason was a political rally happening nearby, and some roads were blocked by the police for security reasons.
What you did while waiting:
At first, I felt a bit panicked because I didn’t want to miss the wedding ceremony. But later, I started chatting with the driver and scrolling through Instagram. I also called my cousin to update him about the situation. Luckily, I had snacks and water in the car, so I stayed comfortable.
How you felt about this experience:
I felt frustrated because I was all dressed up and excited for the event. But being stuck for so long made me tired. Still, I tried to stay calm and positive. In the end, I did reach the wedding, though I missed the main ceremony.
So this was the time when I got stuck in a traffic jam. It made me realise how unpredictable city traffic can be, and that it’s always better to leave much earlier for important events.-
